Gerald Benham’s notes from diaries

15 September 1918 Attacked Hindenburg Line as ordered but with only about 35 men as platoons were scattered and could not be found. Very successful attack. Captured about 70 prisoners and many machine guns. Consolidated & ready for counter attack which petered out. Relieved by another unit at night.
