COCKLESHELL HEROES TRIBUTE TO BILL SPARKS ROYAL MARINES

On Sunday 25th August 2013 at 13.00 hours the Mayor of Castle Point will unveil a plaque to commemorate Cpl Bill Sparks D.C.M. a former resident of Canvey Island.  In attendance will be Councillors  and local dignitaries.  All members of the public are welcome to attend this ceremony.

    Bill Sparks is our Greta grandfather on our father’s side. We are Charlie, Louie and Archie Heard. Yesterday we visited his grave.
