Sweetheart.  Just a few lines to let you say that I am still keeping fit and well.  How are you keeping?  I hope that you are looking after yourself, and keeping in the best of health.  Have you received any more mail from me just lately I hope that you have.  It is about time you did anyway.  How is ma these days.  I hope that she is keeping alright.  Give her my very best love.  How is Ben? Still as wild as ever I suppose.  He will not know me when I get home, he will have to get used to me again.  Give my regards to all at Bury Rd.  Tell Uncle Joe that I hope it will not be long before we are having a pint and a game of darts in “The Bull”.  This is all for now Darling.  So I will close.  Cheerio Dearest and God bless you.  I love you.  Regards to everyone.

Yours always

            Ernest
