269 Extracts from Northern Command Orders

ALLOWANCES TO ACTING CHAPLAINS –

            With reference to Command Order 316, dated 4th of March, and to War Office letter, of the 24th February, 1915, Clergy/General Number/4155 (Q.M.G. F.a), the issue, during the period of the War, to Clergymen gazetted as temporary Chaplains to the Forces, 4th Class, of lodging and fuel, and light allowances, has been approved in cases where they are not accommodated in public quarters or billets, or in receipt of field allowance.

            The first paragraph of the letter referred to above will be regarded as modified accordingly.
