255 District Court-Martial

            The detail of Officers as mentioned below will assemble at the Orderly Room, 22nd (S.) Battalion, Northumberland Fusiliers (3rd Tyneside Scottish), Newburn, on the 24th April, 1915, at 10-30 a.m., for the purpose of trying by District Court-Martial the accused person named in the margin:-

MEMBERS

A Captain of the 21st Battalion, Northumberland Fusiliers, (2nd Tyneside Scottish.)

 A Captain of the 23rd Battalion Northumberland Fusiliers, (4th Tyneside Scottish.)

The accused will be warned, and all witnesses duly required to attend.

The proceedings will be forwarded to the G.O.C., 123rd (Tyneside Scottish) Brigade, “Alnbank” Alnwick.

In the margin.  No. 1481 Pte. Richard Coxon, 22nd (S.) Bn, Northumberland Fusiliers (3rd Tyneside Scottish) and No. 193 Pte. Harry Holland 22nd (S.) Bn, Northumberland Fusiliers (3rd Tyneside Scottish).

256 District Court-Martial

            The detail of Officers as mentioned in Brigade Order No. 245, dated 17th April, 1915, will re-assemble at the Orderly Room, 24th (S) Battalion Northumberland Fusiliers (1st Tyneside Irish), on Saturday, April 24th, at 10-30 a.m., for the purpose of trying by District Court-Martial the accused person named in the margin.

The accused will be warned, and all witnesses duly required to attend.

The proceedings will be forwarded to the G.O.C., 123rd (Tyneside Scottish) Brigade, “Alnbank” Alnwick.

In the margin.  No. Pte. 1043 Nicholas Blackburn.  24th (S) Btn. Northd Fus. (1st Tyneside Irish).

257 Extracts from Northern Command Orders

“LONDON GAZETTE” –

The following extracts from the Fourth Supplement to the  “London Gazette” of Tuesday, the 13th April, 1915, are published for information:-

The Northumberland Fusiliers

21st Battalion (2nd Tyneside Scottish). – Temporary Lieutenant (now temporary Captain) Stewart A. White to be Adjutant.  Dated 3rd February, 1915.

22nd Battalion (3rd Tyneside Scottish). – Charles Thomas Trigg to be temporary Second Lieutenant.  Dated 1st April, 1915.

23rd Battalion (4th Tyneside Scottish). – Temporary Captain and Adjutant Stanley H. MacKintosh to be temporary Major.  Dated 1st March, 1915.

Northern Command Order No.606.

APPOINTMENT TO COMMISSIONS IN REGULAR ARMY – MEDICAL EXAMINATION OF CANDIDATES –

            In continuation of Command Order 577, of the 13th instant, modifying Army Order 326 of 1914, it is notified for information that it has been decided that all candidates for permanent regular commissions must be examined by a Board of Military Medical 0fficers.

It is therefore directed that, in the case of all applications forwarded in future, Commanding Officers will first arrange that the Candidate is examined by such a Board.  Form M.T./315a is being revised, and copies of the reprint will be supplied on application to War Office.

Northern Command Order No.607.

BASE MEDICAL STORE –

            A Base Medical Store having now been formed at York, all requisitions for Medical and Surgical supplies from Hospital and Regimental Units (with the exception of those stationed in Leicester and Staffordshire) will be transmitted to the Deputy Director of Medical Services, Northern Command, for approval, for supply from this Store.

Local purchases of Medical and Surgical supplies will not be resorted to without reference to the Deputy Director of Medical Services.
