Dear Father

I thought of coming home next Saturday for the week-end if you have not made any other arrangements.  I shall arrive between 4 & 5 o’clock.  Please let me know as soon as possible if convenient.

Of course if anything should happen to prevent me from coming in connection with the army I will let you know at once.
